How can I submit an abstract?

The abstract submission is now closed. We have received more than 150 abstracts for oral and poster free-paper session.

What is the maximum size for poster free-paper presentation?

The maximum size for the poster free-paper presentation is A0 or 841 x 1189 mm or 33.1 x 46.8 in.

How long is the oral free-paper session?

Each participant will be allocated a maximum of eight minutes for the oral presentation. There will be two minutes for question and answer (Q&A) after the eight minutes presentation.

I just receive an email stating that reviewer has submitted comments for my submission, what should I do?

Go to your abstract submission page and you will be able to read the comment on the comment column. Review the comment provided by the reviewer and update your submission accordingly. The final decision on the acceptance of your abstract will be provided by the Scientific Committee by the 15 July 2017.

What is a Free-Paper?

A free-paper is a manuscript submitted by the participants of the conference to be presented either as a poster or oral presentation. To submit a manuscript for consideration, click on the Abstract Submission link. The other type of papers presented at this conference are Key-Note address, Plenary Presentation, and Symposium session.

Where can I find my username and password?
The information on your username and password are found in the email we sent to the email address that you have used to registered for the conference.
I cannot remember my password?
If you have lost your password, click on the “Participants Login” Then click on the “Can’t remember your password? Click here to reset” link. Enter the email your have used to register and you will receive an email with instruction to reset your password.
Why I cannot logon with my username and password after registration?

Account activation is a process we use to ensure that the registration is genuine and is not performed by a ‘robot’.
Can I change my email address after registration?
The website does not allow change of email address after registration as the email address is use as the unique identifier for logon. If you need to use a new email address you will need to perform a new registration.
Can I use a different email address or name for abstract submission rather than my logon email address?
You could use a different email address or name during the abstract submission. There will be an option located on the right-hand sidebar (for the desktop version of the website) of the website in the abstract submission page for you to enter the author and presenter details. For the mobile version of the website the option will be located at the bottom of the same page.
Where do I fill in the name of the author(s) and presenter during abstract submission?

How can I get to the conference?

As this conference will be held in Kuching in Sarawak, the main port of entry is through Kuching International Airport. Currently, you will be able to fly directly to Kuching International Airport from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, and Kota Bahru in Peninsular Malaysia, from Sibu, Bintulu, Mulu, Mukah, and Tanjung Manis in Sarawak, from Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, and internationally from Hong Kong, Singapore and Pontianak (Indonesia). The airlines serving the Kuching International Airport are Air Asia, Hong Kong Airlines, Malaysian Airlines, Malindo Air, Silkair and Xpressair.

From the airport, the easiest way to the City is by taxi. Purchase a fixed rate taxi coupon in the Terminal and board the taxi at the designated taxi area. Avoid touts who may be present to tempt you to use their ‘cheaper’ taxis. The conference venue, the Riverside Majestic Hotel is situated just around 10 kilometres north of the airport.

Where can I stay during the conference?

The conference will be held at the Riverside Majestic Hotel in Kuching Sarawak, which is a four-star hotel. The Hotel offer attractive rates for conference participants. Do I need a visa to enter Malaysia?

All passengers arriving at a Malaysian port of entry are checked through Immigration Control. Please make sure that you have the proper documents at the checkpoint. Information about the visa requirement for foreign delegates is available at the Immigration of Malaysia website.

Do I need to get vaccination or take prophylaxis medication to travel to Malaysia or Kuching?
A valid yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from travellers over 1 year of age who are coming from a yellow fever endemic country or have visited a yellow fever endemic country during the past six months. The period of validity is 10 years beginning 10 days after vaccination. Travellers without a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate will be quarantined upon arrival in Malaysia.
